Metrum and Exceleron Join Forces to Provide the Utility Industry With a rapidly and Strategically Deployable Prepaid Solution

Waco and Dallas, Texas and (July, 13, 2011) – Metrum Technologies and Exceleron Software have announced they have successfully integrated Metrum’s Utiliwise® AMI/Smartgrid communications platform with Exceleron’s PAMS™ Prepaid Account Management System.
Metrum’s Utiliwise® platform is a highly flexible, under-glass, true IP to the endpoint technology that leverages existing public wireless network infrastructure allowing users to strategically deploy endpoints and retrieve data as needed to support advanced programs. Exceleron’s Prepaid Account Management System (‘PAMS’) is a Web-based application requiring no on-site hardware or software installation. The combination of UtiliWise and PAMS allows the users to create, implement, and manage prepaid accounts while consumers are provided with a consistent flow of timely and accurate information from the meter. Transactions -- including payments, debits and credits -- are passed from CIS to PAMS. According to Metrum and Exceleron, the integration of UtiliWise and PAMS has created the utility industry’s most cost-effective and rapidly deployable prepaid solution.
